[Edit: I wrote in frustration and haste, and I want to clarify I do NOT think all Mods and Admins and Room Owners here are bad people who are not trying to make the site better. But there are a few people here who go out of their way to make the experience bad for some users and I believe it is intentional. They aren't here to help anyone nor do they care to make this site better. But they see it as their fiefdom where they can lord power over others apparently with impunity. I am frustrated by these people and the system in which they are allowed to operate, not at the genuinely good people on this site who volunteer to help out because they want to make this site great.]

So in "themed rooms" admins and mods can just go on a tear and delete posted content they claim "doesn't meet with the room's theme", but why then do these same people allow content that is clearly off-theme, and sometimes borderline illegal from some users? Isn't that peculiar?

In "Older for Younger 18+" the strictness of the theme has been recently re-instated by what I can only assume is an HOA like power surge by people who have nothing in their real lives. It's been gradually shifting from deleting a few posts to much of my content getting repeatedly deleted in the room. So today, I conducted an experiment. I scrolled back up through the room and copied and pasted pictures and GIFs that were still in the room from over 30 minutes before. Funny, these pictures which were live in the room for sometimes over an hour, showing they were objectively fine, but they were deleted as soon as I posted them. Interesting.

I get it, you're a Mod or an Admin and you need to feel your authority is unchallenged. And I even understand you muting me when I call you out on your hypocrisy. But stop acting like you're being altruistic and selflessly curating the room's content when you're really just targeting people you have a beef with. And it's the same people who were doing this shit over a year ago before the "strict monitoring" was lifted. They would ban and mute me for calling them out instead of really taking care of the room, which is what they are supposed to do. Today I watched as mods moved into the room, and then called an admin in to mute me. That admin even made a snarky remark in the room's main chat as if they were flexing they could get the last word. All that nonsense, all that effort and yet, here I am. Still here, YEARS after your initial attempts to squeeze me out. What does that say about your "power"? And after all this, all manner of off-themed pictures, spam, bots, and questionable content still pollutes the rooms. You re doing a lousy job, and everyone can see it.

Well unless you're trying to create a combative, unfun experience. Then you're doing a great job. No need to give an explanation either when it is clear what you are doing.

You've become like the Umpires in MLB. You think the site is all about you. In your head, you think people pay the ticket price to see you delete, ban, and mute. You no longer do what you're meant to do, you just cause the site to get worse. You must be so proud.

Well, imagine that most likely there wasn't an admin in the room 30minutes ago and that's why the content was still there...
or maybe imagine, that there are new GMs/Admins in training which still learn.

Also, everyone knows O4Y is the fastest moving room on 321, if an Admin is alone and might be busy in pm with a report, they won't see the main chat...

There were 3 mods in the room at one point, and I can assure you the mod was there when the original content was posted, and then he deleted the same content I copied and pasted.

Sorry, if this were a one-day incident or a one-time thing, I might just shrug it off. But this has been going on for years. They make "rules" which are subjective, and then arbitrarily enforce them. Watch the room. Some guys ONLY post dick pics and nothing ever happens, then when someone else posts one dick picture after posting a slew of "on-themed" content, that post gets deleted. It doesn't make sense, unless its targeted.

OFY room moves very fast. Especially if there are only one or two mods on there, it's hard to catch everything. We volunteer our time because we like helping the site. I resent you saying it's because we have nothing in our real lives. Trust me, quite often, I think about just stepping down. Being one of just the chatters. But then I see something bad, and I'm glad I'm there to take care of it. If you're seeing something illegal, you can feel free to alert one of the GMs about it as well.

As for Dick pictures it's ok as long as that's not all there posting and they're not spamming them.

Also there plenty of rooms for different themes. There other ones that might be to more your liking.

This is one of the most underappreciated work. While people might see one thing, things move crazy fast in chat rooms. And people do have lives behind the screen. This is not a paid job. Mods volunteer their time. So please appreciate what they do. its easy to tell someone they did a bad job.. try telling someone how much you appreciate them.

I certainly don't mean all admins and mods are doing this for their own self-aggrandizing and I should have been more clear so I am sorry about that. I really respect the work of many of the people who volunteer their time to keep the rooms safe and clear from nonsense. I still have several friends who are mods and even a few admins and room owners who I talk with from time to time. But there are more than a few who are here just to play hall monitor and who get upset if you don't "respect my authority!" You cannot tell me every admin or mod volunteers their time just to keep the site better.

Even my friends on the inside have confirmed these people are not here volunteering for the right reason.

So again I apologize for lumping everyone in together, but my initial premise is still sound as there are mods and admins here just trying to to target and bully.

When modding ofy we make snap judgements. If it means your content got deleted so be it. Some are done by mistake as well. Get into the grove of deleting bots and poof 3 posts are gone because another mod deleted it and my finger was on the button too. Just let it scroll and don't make a big deal and no one would be the wiser. In 3 mins time 50 posts go by.

Happy posting!

Thank you for your input ,but I'm sure you can appreciate ofy is a fast room constantly seeing the same pic/ gifs being posted over and over is draining on room staff to see as room is so fast, plus people complain if they see constant dick pics or a post that is not within room theme .Can I clearly state no Gm /RA is on a power kick first I wouldn't have it in room and secondly site would remove any member of staff abusing there powers . We have all come together to change ofy around and can I say people have 100% been on board with changes .

If someone posted content that's against the rules, that doesn't mean it wasn't addressed.
Not sure if you attempted to contact the room owner at any point, but that's always a good place to start.

If you feel as though you're being treated unfairly or targeted, you can always use the feedback form, which is only seen by powers up above. It's also a great place to drop some praise as well!

We really do have to move quickly & typically juggling several issues while keeping an eye on main. Working on an incident, someone asking a question while battling bots is just the basic standard. Even with three mods in the room, think Transformers. More than meets the eye, or whatever they say in the theme song.

Whenever online, we rarely have time for personal PMs, playing with someone is next to impossible. So to imply we're doing it for nefarious reasons.. It's also difficult to respond more specifically when we don't know your account name or what was posted.

Lydia & her team work really hard while volunteering their time in ofy. From your perspective you see angry lil refs raging on the sidelines, while I envision Jim Carrey sitting at his computer in Bruce Almighty. xD

Moira so well said. I just wanna add that the mods deserve to have some fun too. If they missed something, people shouldnt take it as offensive but more like mehhh... lets move on. Its a chat site not policing. We are all adults here.

I'm fine with my content getting deleted, especially if the people administering the room are trying to keep it more streamlined and cleaned up. And I completely get that mistakes can and do happen. But I've been here for 6 1/2 years, and I see clear patterns.

I also understand OFY is a busy room. Stuff goes flying by. And I do try earnestly to reports spam and inappropriate posts and people whenever I can. But I think we're ignoring what I'm getting at.

Why is it when there are certain mods in OFY, about 1/4 to sometimes as many as 1/2 my posts, many with "themed content" get deleted? I often go out of my way to expressly post content with older and younger (18+) people in it so there can be no mistake, and yet poof: it's gone within seconds of me posting it. Sometimes I only notice it when someone will DM and ask, "Hey, what happened to the pic of gif you posted with that thing?" and I'll go back and look, and sure enough, it's gone. I get compliments and then questions within minutes.

Also, this isn't new. I've literally been "Site Banned" by a staffer who I came to with nothing more than concern about content and selective enforcement, and instead of a discussion or answering a valid question, bang! The Ban hammer. Not a mute, or a partial temporary ban, or a room ban, but a "Site Ban". That's pretty drastic. Thankfully the Room Owner and another GA took care of it.

So if you don't think this is an issue and you know all the Mods and Admins here are super marvelous people who would never do anything selfish, vindictive, or untoward, then ignore what I wrote. Forget I brought it up.

And you're free to defend everyone here. I'm not naming names or calling out anyone. But it's pretty clear that a few people are going out of their way to make the site a pain in the ass for a few users, and frankly that sort of thing just sucks.

HOA like power surge by people who have nothing in their real lives. It's been gradually shifting from deleting a few posts to much of my content getting repeatedly deleted in the room. imagine saying “…people who have nothing in their real lives.” and then talk about how you “conducted an experiment” by copy and pasting 30 min old pics and gifs. 30 OFY MINS! do you know how much scrolling that is?!

re-fucking-lax my guy…touch grass and drink some water.

I'd love to relax. I love being here and talking with people. And if I could ignore it, I would.

Imagine coming to a site for years, then one day a few people start being weird and go out of their way to take the fun out of this site. Maybe you think people need to be treated badly for no reason, but I don't.

I know I've lost count of how many times I've gone to delete a bot post and the chat moves and I end up accidentally deleting something I didn't mean to delete. And yeah, its tough as nails to remove every single questionable post as fast as OfY moves. And then when I go to send a warning message to someone, go back and clean up a bot's mess, or have to take other action on something, there's a ton of stuff I will miss. And then its the ultimate question: Do I scroll back and quickly try to nitpick everything I missed out on, or just go back down and try to stay caught up again? And then the chat is scrolling so fast and there's so much questionable that its a quick snap judgement call on if something is okay or not. I'm sure there've been some nights where the strike zone is looser than others (since someone wanted to use the baseball umpire analogy). I'm human. I can make mistakes.

I've got no doubt that some will think they're getting targeted or being singled out. That's the natural defensive reaction. But things move so quickly and there's so many people coming and going (and cumming then going) is I hardly remember most people day to day. Hell, I might end up warning the same person 3 or 4 days in a row for spamming because I don't even remember them from yesterday or the day before. :rollingonthefloorlaughing: But if someone is obviously posting stuff that doesn't belong (i.e. dick pic spamming, BDSM type content, etc) and they get mad because they get chased from the room, even if its by one GM, then that's really on them.

OFY is for just that, age gap dynamics and situations that involve them (so long as they are 18+). Genital pics, captions, or things that are borderline breaking site or group rules tend to get deleted when they're spotted. Just because you see a staff member listed in the member list, doesn't mean they aren't handling any number of things going on. Since we don't discuss what we do or actions taken against other users, you won't know if that's the case.

If you have a post that got deleted you believe was either done so unfairly, by mistake or out malice - try contacting the Mod/one of the Mods that are currently in the group through PM respectfully and request clarification. It is strongly recommended that when you do so, it is done with polite professionalism and courtesy. You are more likely to get a patient response than if you go into their PMs aggressively. Discussing site actions in main will likely get no response because that isn't something we discuss in main.

Rooms like BDSM, Lesbian, Gay, etc all have their own individual guidelines they follow as to what they want there. If you are unclear about what is permitted, contact a staff member and check with them. Usually the rules will be posted on the banner upon entering a group.

Hope this helps.

No offense but telling someone to touch grass or relax is not the right response, I am not defending him or anything but think from the perspective of other person, what might seem a little irrelevant thing to you might not be the same for someone else, so maybe instead of making fun of other emotions, show some empathy like other mods are who are actually replying and discussing the matter respectfully. Sorry If I sound rude or anything since that is not my intention.

Additionally: I know that myself and many of the other Mods follow what we were told by the Room Owner. What we handle and how we handle it is based on information handed down to us by the Room Staff themselves. In OFY, it is far too busy for me to even recognize usernames I have dealt with before, much less target them. I know that myself and many others are just looking at the merit of the posts themselves, regardless of who is posting them.
