It's not easy to be consistent when it comes to taking action.
It is based on many factors such as, previous history which in itself can vary, how well you're known because you'd have some rapport with us at least, which is not to play favourites(!), and even just the length of time you're registered because you could well have established yourself as a genuine user who isn't here to cause problems and just wants to chill out. There can be too much to it to make it simple. It is something we can try work on a bit better.
I think there are so many various of the word Taboo that a manual ban can only be warranted on the context use with it.
Moderators also have rules to follow.

I don't really see guests as being a problem. It's spammers/scammers/bots that really ruin it for guests.
We need to work on the crashes. We probably aren't being told about most of those experiencing it.

This is what it could look like on the outside. But we have our way of working it. However, this morning as it happens, I planned to get with the admins and change the moderator application form.
We get people filling it in and huge word counts, and then we have some who manage with few and are successful. I do want to change this form.

I don't see the problem with it but I can see your point of view. The main reason is that we have huge difficultly in getting suitable moderators for that room.
There are many men who are interested in women who have sex with other women, so to have men there could basically be taking away what the women want.
I'd probably be okay with gay men moderating in the lesbian room but then I'd assume many women there would be against that.
Perhaps we need a team of LGBT mods who can cover all these rooms(?).

The time in which the bots manage to get spamming more is where we're short with mods at certain times. There is no denying that we have mods on and there are many reports that may not be dealt with in a timely manner, but mods can also be busy with something else on a previous report. One report can take up quite a bit of time for mods.
We have no problems with links that aren't affiliated, advertising, social media sites or scams. The way our filters work and mark a link as spam can be frustrating for everyone.

This only needs to be done once. I've tried and tested it many times when someone makes a complaint or has an issue with it and I can't ever replicate it.
It seems the bots can get around anything. Whatever we change, obviously a human comes and does their work to figure out how to get around it again.
If facebook, instgram, Twitter an so on can't fix it, then we most certainly can't. If we did it would be sold to META for a few billion lol.

We never had this but it is possible. I think we posted it on the news before and people were mostly against it.

I never intend on not being polite. I have on my chat bio that if I come across as rude, it's not my intention and I'd hope it is never read that way.
Solutions have probably been marked where it hasn't been fully responded to, but that's because there is no more we can do/add. (in most cases anyway)

This name was removed at the end. I assume it was their real name but it doesn't really matter.
There is no doubt that we need to work on the challenges people are facing to stay logged in to the chat.
I think the bots have probably worked their way back up to what they were, too.
We have been continuously making changes with the most recent less than a week ago.

I'd prefer avoid room staff and add GMs. I've mentioned taboo in a post above.
It's not difficult to get back on a website you're banned from, unfortunately. We get many reported to us which we can verify and it helps.
We also allow others and just see how they go, even though they think we don't know they're here. Most users are genuine. So that is why.
