With respect why would you expect them to dilute their VIP offer by offering more VIP-only options for free? They have to make their money somehow, like everyone else. The free offer is already pretty good on the whole imo. BTW I have nothing to do with the running of the site but imo VIP is good value if you use the site a lot. I think it is worth the reasonably modest fee to have ad-free main chat, less aggressive spam filtering, and the ability to create VIP rooms alone, never mind the other perks. Especially when you consider a) it's a one-off payment, not an ongoing subscription b) the price has held steady for several years, and c) the site has never to my knowledge ever gone back to paid users and asked for more money to keep using a feature they thought they'd already paid for. This makes the site sub better value than a great deal of online setvices in these days of rampant enshittification of the internet.
