The spam filter is way to aggressive.

The spam filter is getting way to out of hand. The fact that I can get banned for simply trying to confirm why a person got banned is wild to me. I get it's try to combat the bots but if the bots are still around what good does it do except make quality of life for actual users miserable. There has to be a better way especially when the ban appeals process is so slow due to (which I'm assuming) the fact that there are only 4 admins shifting through hundreds of ban appeals a day.

Unfortunately there isn’t a better way.
For every user that triggered something, many many bots, scammers or pedos are banned by it.

I just got banned for "spam" ... and there is no way I had done anything that could be called spam. Was just doing normal chatting and suddenly i'm banned for some nonexistent "spam"

Saying you charge doesn't help.

Yeah i joked with a friend last night about not charging for drinks, and i was caught by the spam filter. Waiting for appeal but i know it takes time. Freakin bots

I was just chatting with some friends and i was slapped with a permanent ban for spam and I was not even given any warning or even an hour or day wait time. I was just roleplaying and I did not link anything or mention anything different then the things I had posted about many times before in that very same roleplay. These people were my friends and I had talked to them many times for the past week for countless hours so I am pretty sure that I was not harassing them. I am not even sure if I was just punished for typing to fast as I have never been reported for spam or harassment of anyone before, yet this first time I have supposedly ever done anything wrong it was a permaban? Even if did do anything wrong, I am not sure that a site wide permanent ban is an appropriate punishment for triggering an automated spam bot.

I do not think it is very responsible to give permanent banning capabilities to bot that has no grasp of context. I could have understood an hour wait or even a day as I would have just waited it out and moved on with my life but now I am forced to not only waste my time but that of the appeal moderators who has to go over my ticket. it feels like you are bogging down your own appeal forums by making people clean up after the messes made by a bot who swings around a giant permaban-hammer, indiscriminately targeting peoples accounts for saying certain phrases it doesn't like.

Also, is spam even deserving of a site wide permanent ban, especially for a first offence with no warning given? Little harsh in my opinion.

I got banned too today due to this spam , I just post an keyboard hug to my friend and got banned
