Request for Auto-Expanding Text Box Feature

Please consider adding an auto-expanding text box or resizable text area feature. This would allow users to type and proofread without having to scroll within the fixed text area, making it more convenient, especially for longer entries and especially for users on mobile devices where the fixed text area is already small and hard to scroll through via touch screen. I think a feature which dynamically adjusts the height of the textbox based on the amount of text entered would immensely improve the user experience. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Ok I might be that I’m old and have no clue as to wtf I am doing, but this gets me everytime. I might start writing and then go check something, but when I come back to finish, I can’t get to the end of the text. I’m on iPad so not sure if that has something to do with it, or like I say, just an old techno unaware dude.

Playing Devils Advocate here and whilst I’d love that facility too I fear it would be yet another option abused and the already long paragraphs spammed in rooms like Older for Younger would get even longer! Just my own thoughts

Not sure if I am wrong, but I think she more likely meant, the field to expand when the text gets longer. When on mobile, the text starts to disappear when you type, because you just have this little one line chat text field. It's a pain in the ass if you wanna go back to see what you typed, proofread or wanna add something.

So, if im right she meant, meant that the line we are typing in gets automatically larger so that we can see the whole message which we are about to send.

This is EXACTLY what she meant... we don't want to be able to type more... just see everything we have typed. LOL.
