Option wheel on dm window doesn't always pop up the options menu

Setup:
Xiaomi redmi note 9 pro smartphone
Android operator
Android version 12
Mobile chrome browser

Steps:
Open a direct message
Press on option wheel/gear icon

Expected result:
A menu should pop up in a single press

Actual:
Doesn't *always* open in a single press

Notes:
Happens at anytime, even if chat is not busy.
The amount of presses for the popup vary; the options *can* pop up with a single press at some occurrences.

I would attach a video of me pressing it a bunch but videos aren't supported by attachment :c, I did attach pics of the thing im talking of tho

I have never had that issue and asking around haven't heard it by others. You may clear cache and reboot and see if that helps or it could be a weak spot in your screen.
For further assistance you may want to post in technical issues... 😊

I sort of think it's a veak spot on your screen, I have the some problem every time I need to report anyone lol.. I need to move around a bit to make the screen react

I thought the tech issues were for site staff sort of handle lol 😅 and not bug posts. Also it cannot be a weak spot since I see it react (theres like a white square) but no pop up. I will try cache dumping
 
You can try to refresh the session/tab.
The Xiaomi redmi note 9 pro has a slow or laggy user interface .. reported by users in reviews.
Google “Xiaomi redmi note 9 pro problems” and check if you find a solution for your phone.

It’s most probably a device specific issue.. not a general software problem.
Please report back if you got it fixed.

I have this phone for 4+ years, it works like magic imo...
Also this chat is the only place this seems to happen to me
