Helping get rid of room spam.

Recently in Older for Younger (18+) I'm noticing sporadic repeated posts by random "users" of CP and links. They spam the room with these posts and no matter how often they are reported, the images and links are just there in the room until someone does something about them. This morning I noticed PJ Black had to reset the room several times just to get rid of all the posts (and good on him for doing that).

I have questions:

1) When there is no mod or admin in the room, does someone get the reports made about inappropriate content?

2) When a post from a user is reported, how long before that person get kicked and banned if the content is inappropriate? If that action takes a mod or an admin, can we all agree if someone is reported 10 times they should at least be "auto-muted" until it can all be sorted?

3) Other than reporting and ignoring, what else can users in a room do to help stop this BS?

Thank you.

If there is no GM in the room at the time, you can always look at the list of staff and see who is online and message them and tell them what room and what the issue is. I'm a floating GM so I do bounce room to room a lot so I've have users that can message and tell me so and so is happening. But even a GM that is not assigned to a particular room, if there is an issue, they can go in and take care of it of course. So feel free to reach out to any GM if there no one in the room at the time.

As for the rest of your questions, we really can't answer them. The first thing we were told was not to share any moderating information.

As for your suggestion of automatically muting someone, my mind always thinks and I can see users abusing that to get someone muted that was not breaking rules but muted just cause they don't like them.

Thank you for the replies, though it's weird you cannot share moderating information. As for abuse of the system, that would be understandable if one person were repeatedly reporting, but if 10 or 20 people were all reporting someone independently, muting someone who might be spreading illegal content would be wise. And it's not irreversible. Any mod or admin can reverse this.

Interesting though this suggestion post gets highjacked by mods flirting with each other.

We do not discuss the actions we take against other users for the same reason we would not discuss the actions taken against you with other users. General respect for privacy and frankly it's nobody's business. We handle things the way they need to be handled according to the context of the situation. You don't have to like it; but we have standards we have to follow too, this is one of them.

Sure what do you expect when all the mods are banging one another!

I appreciate that it can be undone and we could probably take action on those who abused a system like that for multiple reports, but I can see it being abused more than it would become useful for us.

The report option has actually bugged out now on us but it is fixed up the update we hope to roll out very soon. The issue we have with the update is the gallery slots then.

That illegal stuff that’s posted is probably something we can’t ever really avoid with being a sex chat site that has many visitors. We do get to remove more than is seen but I can’t see it ever being perfect when you’ve got people like that trying to sell (or scam) what they’re selling.

Thanks for the reply. I was more looking to see how we as users can assist. I don't need to know anything about how you are handling specific instances, I just wanted to know what is done in the general.

I was just offering an idea. The last few days have been pretty crazy with the amount of messed up posts spamming the rooms. Carry on folks. Have a good day.

There is one solution that would work straight away. Subscriptions. As long as you don't have to verify yourself to use the side or pay for it. There is nothing much you can do. All you have to do right now is register a email address and you are in. And , but that is a guess., mods or admiins doing it for free. You can't expect them to react straight away. And as everyone can tell you who has been an admin for a group on a social media platform or for a forum or chat , this can be a really shit job at times.
Ai supported bots that look for spam and fake profiles could help the admins as most of those spam 'users are bots as well

The best way to assist as a user is, as we've said, to contact a mod. Even if we don't respond to the PM, one of us will always jump in and handle it unless we're already in the middle of a situation elsewhere on the site.

If no Gm is in ofy room ,look for any available staff whose on site check staff list it will show you which Gm are currently on site contact any member of staff to clear room .
As for your other questions we cannot discuss how actions are taken against users on site .

That would be my fault. I'm sorry I was totally unprofessional for one post. I will try to control it in the future.
