Ideas to Boost Mood & Mental Health

What is a tip or trick you incorporate into your daily life, or something you do when needed, that helps improve your mood and overall mental health?

What are some idea or suggestions you have that others may try?

I'll start us off...

Track gratitude and achievements with a journal. Include 3 things you were grateful for and 3 things you were able to accomplish each day.

It's great to start and end each day with positives, no matter how big or small. Your cup of coffee hit just right that morning or maybe that shirt you love finally had the stain removed.

Feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start?

Work your strengths. Do something you're good at to build self-confidence, then tackle a tougher task.

Starting with tasks you excel at can provide a sense of achievement, which in turn can empower you to take on more challenging tasks with a positive mindset and belief in your capabilities.

Practice forgiveness - even if it's just forgiving that person who cut you off during your commute.

Holding onto grudges or anger can lead to chronic stress, which negatively impacts mental health. Forgiveness reduces this stress by letting go of negative emotions.

I don't know if it has been mention but breathing exercises I do, also if you drink caffeine, try not to just before bed, try to have a go to postive thought in your mind of something you did well on hand, and please please please don't do what I did in faffing for months before I sought help, that is nothing wrong having a mental health problem.

Disconnect from the grid. Take a break from doomscrolling and reconnect.

Leave your smartphone alone for an hour, at home for a day and free yourself from constant emails, alerts, and other distractions. Enjoy some fun, in-person time with someone.

A digital detox can provide mental clarity, fostering creativity and reducing mental fatigue. It also encourages physical activity and the rediscovery of hobbies and interests that are often overlooked in our digitally connected lives.

For me being a Halloween lover. Hikes in the fall with the pretty fall colors of the leaves is one of my most relaxing things. I do it in the summer but it has more of a positive effect on me in the fall.

When someone show lots of love and care .....when someone ask without telling "how's your day ??"......it makes happy when someone read our mood just with texts and give place in their lap and show affection......

Second - Who is better than friends who makes us laugh , cry , had fun with us. I think it's better cure for boost mood status. And for health better food silent environment and exercises ...no other therapy to make your health better.

Appeal to your senses

Does listening to an uplifting song make you feel calm? Or squeezing a stress ball to refocus that energy?

Everyone responds to sensory input a little differently, so experiment with healthy sensory inputs to find what works best for you!
