“Expose” accounts

Hi folks,

Discussion on chat at the moment about accounts called stuff like “ExposeUrSlut” (example not actual account) posting pictures of girls in main.

The combination of name + content (& usually profile content) would usually suggest that the user is sharing revenge porn, or intends to. For me the onus of proof would be on the exposer to demonstrate that they are sharing with consent (I’m aware some users have a kink for having their stuff shared online, but also revenge porn is illegal in the UK so personally I’d incline to ban first and let them appeal).

What I’m seeing, though, and what other posters are also reporting is that the rule is inconsistently applied or the mods are insisting on more proof, and users remain unbanned.

This isn’t an attack on the mods, more of a question for the admins and Chatmaster around what the policy is on accounts like this.

Completely agree. The site would seem increasingly exposed to legal problems as laws in the UK, EU, and various US states get ever tighter on these issues. But really, the site should get serious on trying to fix its misogyny issues - which is the underlying cause and problem - because it's the right thing to do, and because it makes the site a better place for all users.

The traditional protest "but it's a sex site" or the implied suggestion that women on a sex site effectively 'consent' to hate speech, repugnantly sexist behaviours and misogyny by being on the site at all is getting stale and lame. I really enjoy this site overall and, probably like quite a few women, would be willing to work with the site to help address these issues. But its attitudes to misogyny remain really lacking and regrettably slow to keep up with changing legislation, never mind the right and honourable thing to do.

Thank you for your input.
Users who attempt to expose themselves or others are typically banned, as this behavior often leads to additional violations and negative conduct.
Our platform embraces a culturally, religiously, and sexually diverse community. We strive to allow users to freely express their preferences and kinks, provided they remain within legal boundaries. We maintain a firm stance against any illegal activity while carefully reviewing every appeal and suggestion we receive.

Thanks for being a part of this community!

Thanks PJ - so to be clear, as I think the policy is ambiguously applied across the moderating group - if someone starts spamming main with girls’ pictures from an account called “exposedSlut”, or has a profile making it obvious that they’re here to “expose” girls (ie post stolen nudes non-consensually), we should report with the expected result being the user is banned?

I’m conscious that the conservation I had earlier seemed to suggest that mods were asking for more evidence. Like I say, I absolutely accept that some people get aroused by the fear of sharing their nudes (or others sharing them), and not every case is identical.

Yes, if it’s a clear attempt by someone to “expose” or harass another user, please contact a GM directly. For anything occurring in open chat rooms or via private messages, simply use the flag/report function.
Our GMs handle a wide range of site-wide issues and are here to keep the community safe. They will politely remove users who violate the rules. Anyone who is banned may file an appeal to have their case reviewed for fairness and clarity.
